About Us

Database Potential was founded by Scott Wilson, a twenty-year veteran to software development and project management. He graduated Cum Laude from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1988, having completed extensive coursework in Systems Analysis, Electrical Engineering, and Applied Mathematics. Lieutenant Wilson excelled as an officer aboard the USS Harry W. Hill (DD-986) during combat operations as a part of Operation Desert Storm, becoming perhaps the only officer on record to qualify in every major watch station (including Tactical Action Officer) in a single junior officer tour. As the Chief Engineer leading over 80 men, he planned and managed the installation of one of the first Local Area Networks aboard a Navy Ship. While on active duty, he held a Top Secret clearance. His next tour of duty was as a professor at the University of Southern California, where he won numerous national teaching awards.

Upon leaving the Navy, Scott focused on database development and administration, becoming a SQL Server and Sybase DBA while heading large and small teams of both application developers and Windows server administrators. He has focused on Microsoft SQL Server since the release of version 7.0, and has worked since that time to create infrastructures and manage teams of developers and engineers using the latest Microsoft .NET technologies.

Scott acts as project manager for all engagements, and expands or contracts his teams as necessary depending on the scope and timeline of each project.

Scott is without a doubt one of the sharpest minds I have ever encountered. His work ethic is beyond reproach. His ability to both develop and explain complex database solutions was critical to the development of our product and its testing.
